Seated Ballet Dancer in Marienbad (1966)
Seated Ballet Dancer originally dates to the end of the 1950’s. The statue was also inspired by theatre and ballet and was carved in stone and placed in the main park of the Marianbad spa in 1966. The composition highlights the blur of movement of a seated nude with her chin reclined upon a drawn-up right leg, which contrasts to her left one which is relaxing downward.
